light boxes. variations on the theme of the hangman.

about the human violence, it explores the idea of the human
figure suspended, object - like, held in an indeterminate state.
suspended animation. the figure is a pendulum stopped between
movement / stillness ( death ) ; light / dark .
The movement is freed from any implication of anatomical animation.
the configuration of geometric shapes that constitutes the hangman
breathes / pulses into new configurations through the time frame
of the film .
This
respiration of forms expresses a grave meditation: a base -
line ebbing between life and death .
